    What's in your Medical Kit?

Post by Cabrillo-1 on Thu Feb 04, 2016 9:19 am

Some of us are trained in basic first aid, others to higher level medical. Some of us no training other than what we've seen on TV (please be careful, TV gets most things wrong) or common sense.
What do you have in your medical kit?
Do you have multiple kits or just one big one? Where are they?

I just have a small family size store bought kit. Has a tooth saver in it but probably useless in a disaster. I have gauze for wrapping, 4x4s, triangular bandages, tape, alcohol, disinfectant for wound care, card board boxes and duct tape. Accessible through the outside wall if need be. One step at a time.

The "accessible through the outside wall" is interesting. Is it in something like a mailbox that's accessible from both inside and out or did you build something specific for this?

A tuning fork will allow you to detect if a bone is broken.
